east or west?

babe left for bangkok already. miss her. bangkok is nice... extremely nice for shopping freaks. i love that place man. the things are reasonably cheap only if you know how to bargain with them. or else.. it will be unreasonably expensive. REALLY.

there was one time in thailand, as usual, there will rows and rows of never ending shops. Due to time constraints, the whole tour group just briefly walked through them fast. So, there was one shop which sell really nice wooden straw bags. This particular shop keeper KNEW that i'm eyeing for that bag.

She told me:" 900 baht , mam."

Ok. 900 baht for that particular BAG is realllly day light robbery .
So, we walked away.

She said to us quickly while pointing towards her calculator:" ok mam, how much you want? just say the price mam."

By then, we are really lack of time. We are far far behind the group. So as we rush ahead with NO intention of buying the bag AND also the shop keeper keeps on tagging us behind asking us how much we want, my mom just said;" 125 baht".

At that point of time, i thought my mom was crazy to tell her 125 baht. It is wayyy too impossible. 125 and 900 baht. The difference is 775 baht. I expect the shop keeper to say " fuck you " in some thai language. BUT, she said happily:" Okae mam!".

wah. at that point of time. i'm sooo happy. i wanted to buy that bag already... but we are soo freaking late. i went back to bus with regret. from this, they are obviously extorting the price.

So, whenever you go to bangkok for shoppping , remember to bring a bottle of watter for those tiresome never ending bargains. OH man. the tom yam there... it's extremely delicious. oh man. i'm so hungry now. actually , most of the food in bangkok is nice.

Allright. I was back from my family chalet in pasir ris, the east. although i very much hate to admit it, BUT, the east is so much more interesting than west. their products are so much more... unique den ours. very fascinating . the shops... everything. even the food. so different. ok.. i know that i sounded like some person who just came out from a jungle. yaa..i've not been to the east for a freaking long time. AND in the east, there ARE tampines mall, east mall or something.. i cant remember and downtown east. in the west, there IS the one and only JURONG POINT.
